a fave
[i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Vegan Thumbprint Cookies
When I first made these cookies I thought they were vegan and gluten free but then I was informed that spelt flour is not gluten free. Good to know. Anyway, I have been experimenting with gluten free and vegan recipes. It can be kinda frustrating but also rewarding when something comes out yummy. I still prefer butter loaded chocolate chip cookies though.
Vegan Thumbprint Cookies :
Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Mix together:
1 cup spelt flour
1 cup quick rolled oats
1 cup coconut flakes
Whisk together:
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup coconut oil (a little less is okay)
Stir liquids in with solids and once fully combined form dough into medium/small balls.
Place on cookie tray that is lined with parchment paper.
Indent the center of the cookie and add a small spoonful of your favorite jam.
Bake for 20 minutes.
ENJOY!!

Home Style - Wine boxes
We have lots of wine boxes throughout the house because my love works at a wine company. They are convenient and cool.
^ bathroom storage
^ medicinal herbs and teas
So there you have it.... a little bit of our home style. We also use empty wine bottles as borders for gardens and around our fruit trees. Our neighbors like to joke that we are really creative or just alcoholics. I'd say creative but I do have a glass of wine in one of the pictures. Cheers! :)

outfit posts
So, it is very much my goal to do outfit posts. I am a nanny and have been working for the same three families for a long while now. It is awesome because I love the kiddos and I have extra time to work toward my big life goals... like starting my own preschool. But with this line of work it is easy for me to dress like a bum. :/ I typically wear yoga pants and some layered tops daily. Hair = mess. Make up = none. Not that I need to glam it up but I want to feel good.

Our lovely girls. We've got two chickens and three ducks and they sure do treat us well. We have gorgeous and delicious eggs and lots of entertainment. We love em. Do you want to know their names?
Well, we've got Speckles and Ginger- the naughty chickens. Bella, June, and Morgan- the indian runner ducks. (Mable is in duck heaven) More on them soon!
